Process/Product

Agro and extraction technology for Wild marigold (Tagetes minuta)

Application/Varieties/Use

The flowers yield 0.3-0.50% essential oil rich in ocimenones and other compounds. T. minuta oil finds a good market in perfumery  and flavour industry. The presence of three important acyclic monoterpene ketones and hydrocarbon in the oil are good source base material for the synthesis of value added aroma chemicals.
