Act as a think tank and information centre for innovation and management issues of Industrial and societal development for the region.

Develop strategies for the industrial and societal growth through intervention of technology and innovation management in specific sectors.

Position TIM as a partner in new business startups in the region to provide them with assistance to develop business strategies around technology and innovation management.;

Design and conduct educational and training programmes in innovation and technology management, for a wide cross section of populace.

Facilitate technology flow from labs to users through awareness generation, demonstration and transfer of technology.

Address problems/ issues relating to technology management/ transfer and adaptation of small and medium sector enterprises.

Network with technology and research institutions, management Institutions, NGOs etc. from within and outside the region for the benefit of the state.
