The Centre’s activities will focus on capacity building in the area of technology and innovation management. It will help in creating enhanced awareness and competency development in management of technology and innovation for upgradation of industry, diffusion of innovative technology, technology adaptation, enhancing quality consciousness, identifying and providing solution for technological groups/ clusters of industries, and building brand image of industry. The activity of the Centre will result in creating a cadre of technology management professionals adept in using technology and innovation as a resource in economic, societal and S&T development. The high quality training programmes and development of relevant learning material will help in this direction. The Centre also proposes to introduce short and long term educational courses on management of innovation and technology for researchers, students, S&T program implementers, industry personnel etc.

The Centre will be a nodal point for developing best practices in innovation and technology management through establishing a network with reputed technological and management institutions from and outside the country. The seminars, workshops, conferences to be organized by the Centre will provide fora for exchange of views, ideas and experiences amongst the experts in the field of technology and innovation management.
